The last 3 years we’ve seen a rogue administrative state that needs to be held accountable for its actions – not just an investigation into the conflicts of interests that led to these baseless claims, but how the US actively demolished its global standing as the home for innovation, with thousands of jobs moving overseas.
Enough is enough.
Chatted with @jonsteinberg31 about the upcoming SF mayoral race, and the number of folks who care deeply about the future of this city. SF comes with its own unique set of (solvable) challenges, and I believe Mayor London Breed remains the right person for the job.
I sincerely hope we’re seeing the beginning of the end of the SEC’s policy of regulation by enforcement. The Courts are rejecting it, and now it’s time for Congress to take the lead on crypto policy.
Thanks @EdLudlow@technology for the chat!
The voluntary carbon market is a key component to fighting devastating climate change...but has been long overdue for an upgrade. Congratulations to @CentigradeEarth on today’s launch!
Joined the one and only @karaswisher last week at @welcometomannys to discuss my philanthropic work in SF, how to bring tech and public officials together, and more. She also asked about a lawsuit update -- and 48 hrs later, we got one… https://t.co/AJCK3qu1xd
I haven’t been as vocal on the lawsuit as @bgarlinghouse and @s_alderoty, but today is a huge win for crypto in the US – big thanks to all who supported us along the way.
As a Bay Area native, I've seen SF go through booms, busts and reinvention time and again -- I'm confident this city will remain a home for innovation, and the problems here are fixable. Great to speak with you @tim_johns_!
Thanks for the chat @AmberKTVU! In times like these, our local government, police force and citizens all can step up to keep us safe. I believe the best way forward requires striking the right balance between privacy, justice and safety, and that’s how I’ve approached solutions.
One note – while one part of my advocacy involves funding cameras for local SF Community Benefit Districts (CBDs) - I have no access to the footage nor where the cameras get placed. My goal is solely to help fund what the CBD wants and chooses to implement.
Thanks @SFChronicle and @rolandlisf for spotlighting @AveGreenlight and the incredible work San Francisco’s 34 merchant associations are doing to revitalize the city. Wave 2 of the grants are now open! https://t.co/VFbbMykPFW
Thoughtful, smart, beautifully written review by record producer @oakiedog of @KassaOverall show @sfblackcat, the must-live-forever jazz club. Read this. And support this Tenderloin institution. https://t.co/VVkQOH3AGh
⏱️ #CryptoInOneMinute is back with Ripple’s Executive Chairman and Founder @chrislarsensf to discuss carbon markets.
Greenhouse gas emissions are radically transforming our environment—it’s time to make carbon credit markets more transparent through blockchain technology.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with @MonicaLongSF at 3 different companies now, and nearly from day 1 at Ripple. So much of what the company has achieved is due to her leadership. Congratulations!
This is a post I've been wanting to write for ten years.
Much of the debate around consensus has been over proof-of-work vs proof-of-stake. But there is an option that is simpler, more robust, and supports in-protocol governance.
