@KJWANDRS First off, Castro’s hit was a pop up in the infield that got lost in the sun. If that gets caught no runs end up scoring. Second, facing the Rockies at Coors is one of the toughest matchups there is. Are you really this dumb?
Bleday should 100% be the everyday RF starting tomorrow. Admittedly I’ve always been high on him going back to his prospect days but after the spring he had and the hot start at Triple-A I think he deserves the opportunity.
How quickly are they going to demote Marte after this bobblehead day?
I mean we could be talking, like, announced as a starter for the applause and then pulled mid-inning to bring up Bleday at this point.
I’m usually able to handle the ebbs and flows of a baseball season pretty well but I’ll admit that I lost faith in this Reds team numerous times. The fact that they’re just a 0.5 GB of a WC spot is a miracle given how frustrating they’ve been. This weekend should be fun.
@WhoDeyRitchie You literally said no one else was hitting in your initial tweet. Also I wasn’t hating on him, I was just pointing out why we should slow our roll on proclaiming him all the way back after a small sample size. I’m hoping he keeps this up
@WhoDeyRitchie Elly and Lux have double digit hitting streaks currently while Hays has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball. What are you even talking about lol is this Marte’s burner account or something?
@WhoDeyRitchie Huh? Reds have scored 34 runs the past 6 games. Not to mention the 24 run outburst against the Orioles before that. Outside of McLain, I’d say the team as a whole has been hitting well
Only 21 years old and he’s already terrorizing Double-A pitching. I’m convinced Stewart could be the Reds’ third best hitter on the roster right now. Stud.
I’m excited to be back covering the Reds on a daily basis this season. You can follow along here:

“One evaluator this week said that by the end of the 2025 season, McLain and De La Cruz will be the best second base/shortstop combination in baseball.” #Reds
@JLooy He can but is pretty mediocre out there. I’d like to see a Lux/Espinal platoon experiment at 3B with Marte starting the year in Triple-A. Then Candelario & CES splitting duties at 1B/DH
Like the trade but I hope it doesn’t signify that McLain will be transitioning to the OF. Elly at SS, McLain at 2B should be set in stone as the Reds’ middle infield for years to come. Figure out the rest.
Full trade, per ESPN sources:
Cincinnati receives infielder Gavin Lux.
Los Angeles Dodgers receive a Competitive Balance Round A pick (around No. 37) and outfield prospect Mike Sirota.
