Chuck Amato was an enormous part of the dynasty.
Was here before Mickey. Was here for all but one year of the 14-year streak. Was a key, key member/figure/personality on that coaching staff.
RIP to "The Chest."
At the end of the day, regardless of your feelings on the final two calls, FSU had plenty of chances to win the game in the first 60 minutes, but didn't. That is why they should still make the decision in favor a coaching change.
We're still talking about the 14th consecutive loss outside of Doak. Still only one ranked road win in 6.5 years. Still can't get his teams to play consistently from week to week. Still 0-6 in one score games the last 2 years. They still gave up over 500 yards and 7 YPP (in regulation) for the 4th time in 5 games vs P4 opponents.
This is a resume that should be graded on the entire tenure. Not one game. I'm glad they played hard and gave Miami a fight, but that is not the standard at FSU. We are still sitting at the bye week at 3-4 and 1-3 in the ACC staring down our 5th losing season in 7 years. What more do they need to see? Unfortunately, a close loss was likely the worst case scenario for that outcome happening sooner than later.
Powerbrokers have determined that if Miami wins by 14, FSU will make changes.
But if it’s only 13 points; no change.
Now you might ask: what if it’s 13 points with a last-second FG? Well that’s where things get interesting. That’s when I’m told the board will flip a coin.
Nearly four years ago, FSU assistant coach @odellhaggins was diagnosed with prostate cancer. After 48 radiation treatments, he's doing great now, and he's sharing his story to encourage others to get regular testing.
Our @IraSchoffel has the story:

Hey @JCameronShow Nole Nation needs your help. After the Thamel and Nakos articles over the weekend it’s time to go all in on calling out the FSU admin (McCullough, Collins, etc)
You did it for the legend Bobby Bowden it’s past time to do it now
Peter Collins is not fit to lead our University, or our football program. This is the same man who was soliciting FSU fans for donations for a political candidate a few weeks ago. #ReleaseTheRosenbergFiles
FIRE UP THE WAR CHANT AND PLANT THE SPEAR!!! NOLES WIN!!! NOLES WIN!!! A RECORD SETTING DAY BY ASHTON DANIELS AND THE FIRST 10 SACK DAY BY THE FSU DEFENSE SINCE 1989!!!
Man, that was a cool scene. Sincerely.
Watching Norvell run with Daniels -- or try to anyway -- down the sideline, pumping his fist. Cool moment for both.
