@TheNamibian 10% stake in the project does't mean Namibia gets 10% of the profits. It means that Namcor is responsible for 10% of the project. There's a 35% corporate tax and ~28% adjustable profits tax after the 5% royalty and 10% Namcor. That's 68% of the oil profits going to Namibia.
@Starrup2@9minstomidnight@people That's not the argument; The "Okavango Delta" is in Botswana 250km away from the drill sites, most people don't know the difference and it's articles like this that try to conflate Delta/River/Watershed/Basin. They're in an area that looks a lot like west Texas. (google map it)
