After 2 years of virtual meetings, proud to host the State Aviation Forum at the @NSWRFS Training Academy, Dubbo Airport over the weekend. Great weekend with over 80 members attending along with @nswenviromedia and @NSWSES.
Emergency services have been busy assisting those impacted by flood waters - particularly in the #Lismore area. Several flood rescues have been undertaken by the public, #NSWSES and #NSWRFS. Several warnings remain in place. Stay up to date by following @NSWSES and @BOM_NSW.
Crews have checked in and will be on the way shortly to assist in WA. 36 Incident management specialists are leaving Sydney this afternoon to be in WA to assist where needed. Have a safe trip team. #NSWRFS
Congratulations to the 12 @NSWRFS Aviation Rescue Crew completing their final assessments today at Penrith. These skilled volunteers will be deployed across the State during bushfires and other emergencies @robrfs
A new $10 million RFS Area Command will soon be built in the Coffs Harbour airport precinct.
And it's certainly needed, as it will also house the RFS rapid deployment helicopter to be stationed in the region.

Over the years, our police officers and members of the defence forces have faced almost every challenge imaginable.
But now, they are on a very different frontline, working hand in hand in the battle against #COVID19.

On the beat today with CPL Luke Cuthbert of the Air Force and SGT Jackie Ryder of Fairfield Police, who have teamed up and are conducting welfare checks on people in isolation. Absolutely brilliant people and I can’t wait to share a bit of their story with you tonight. @9NewsSyd
23 #NSWRFS members will join an Australian contingent of more than 50 fire management specialists heading to Canada tomorrow. Crews from #NSW & #WA will depart Sydney to assist with the hundreds of fires burning across the Country. Photo: @DarrylDyck#canadafires@AFACnews
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them. #AnzacDay2021
Remote and rural communities in western NSW will benefit from 4 new rescue vehicles handed over to the Louth, Euston, Pooncarie and Menindee Brigades. Each vehicle, worth $160,000, will help increase the capability of emergency services provided to this part of the state. #NSWRFS
The ADF and #NSWRFS worked side by side during the fires and are once again working together this time to rescue those trapped by flood waters. #nswfloods https://t.co/Mzgpfyjjxm
Dwayne Graham is just one of hundreds of #NSWRFS volunteers who've been assisting the @NSWSES. Thanks to all our members who have and will continue to help protect communities across NSW. Call #NSWSES on 132 500 for emergency assistance in flood and storms.
Many areas across #NSW currently resemble an inland sea. Once the rain stops & the water begins to reside, there will be a massive combined effort to clean up. However until that happens, listen to warnings, follow the @NSWSES advice, look out for family, friends & neighbours.
#NSWRFS aircraft based in Coffs Harbour have moved in to position around NSW for the day, to assist @NSWSES where needed. Our aviation crew are involved in a number of operations including flood rescue, welfare checks and transporting supplies. Video shows flooding near Kempsey.
#NSWRFS members have undertaken helicopter rescue training exercises in the Penrith and lower Blue Mountains area over the last week. Scenarios included winch training, picking people up out of water as seen here from inside the aircraft.
A heads up - our teams will be carrying out low level helicopter training operations in the Penrith and Lower Blue Mountains area from tomorrow 4/3 until Sunday. This training is to help make sure our members are ready to assist our communities when needed. #NSWRFS
