David Eby and the NDP government have cost us 20,000 jobs this month alone, bringing the total to 42,700 jobs lost over the past two months.
This morning, I met with prominent business owners in Maple Ridge, alongside my colleague Mandeep Dhaliwal of Surrey North, to discuss how we can better support the many businesses that have been hit hard by nearly a decade of the NDP’s poor provincial policies.
A Conservative government in British Columbia will cut red tape, making it easier for businesses to operate and grow.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I am thankful for the people of Maple Ridge East for putting their faith in me, for the countless volunteers that have provided their time, and to my friends and family who have supported me throughout this journey.
Once again, I hope you all have a wonderful day enjoying good food with the people you love.

The Eby NDP track record for healthcare is abhorrent. 323,000 British Columbians waiting for family doctors, over 2,400 ER closures in just under two years, and referrals to specialists have hit a record high of 32.2 weeks.
Here in Maple Ridge East we’ve seen the brunt of the issue. The Mission Memorial Hospital has seen countless emergency room closures throughout the last two years. Likewise, in Maple Ridge, the Ridge Meadows Hospital’s maternity ward has seen consistent, multi-day closures since December 2025.
Its time we put a stop to the excuses from Eby and the NDP. With a Conservative Government under Lorne Doerkson, we’ll tackle these issues head on.

Today I announced that my Conservative government will take the PST off Canadian beer, wine and spirits.
This measure will benefit Canadian producers and save British Columbians money while they support local businesses.
Strong leadership for serious times. #bcpoli
Thank you to everyone who welcomed us with a smile, took the time to have a conversation, or shared what matters most to you. It was a pleasure connecting with so many members of our community!

Families across British Columbia are struggling to afford groceries, businesses are under pressure, and too many people are waiting for the health care they need. At a time like this, Premier David Eby should be focused on delivering relief and results. Instead, he has called an early election for October 24.
The government’s own budget projects a $13.3 billion deficit this fiscal year and total provincial debt reaching nearly $235 billion by 2028–29. British Columbians deserve a clear answer: what is the plan to make life more affordable, improve health care and restore confidence in our economy?
Premier Eby talks about Donald Trump, but this election must also be about his government’s record here at home. After nine years of NDP government, people have every right to ask which major projects have been delivered on time and on budget, and when they will see meaningful improvements in their daily lives.
In 2024, I came within 236 votes of winning Surrey City Centre. This time, I’m asking everyone in our riding to take part and vote. Every vote matters. Together, we can demand accountability and choose a better direction for British Columbia.

NEW - The BC Conservatives have named locomotive engineer Keenan Adams as their candidate in Port Coquitlam. Adams was the Conservative Party of BC in 2024. The Port Coquitlam riding is famously anchored by a single dominant BC political fixture: Mike Farnworth.
A child predator who abducted, sexually assaulted and murdered a 10-year-old girl is being let out of prison so he can take cooking classes.
This is not rehabilitation. This is a justice system that puts the comfort of a convicted child killer ahead of public safety and the rights of victims.
Enough. Life should mean life. Temporary absences for the worst offenders should not exist. Families who already buried a child should not have to wonder if he is walking free in their community.
It is disappointing to see David Eby call for a snap provincial election while municipal elections are happening across BC. It shows contempt for local voters and to the people striving to represent their communities.
This decision is a cynical play by a government plagued by disastrous policies and monstrous debt. I’m running once again as the nominated Conservavtive Party of BC Candidate for Maple Ridge East so we can bring a more practical and common-sense approach to government. With our new leader, Lorne Doerkson, we’re more prepared than ever to form the next government. #mapleridge #missionbc
DOERKSON TO REMAIN LEADER IF ELECTED PREMIER
The Board of Directors sets out the Party's position on its leadership should Interim Leader Lorne Doerkson become Premier.
When Mr. Doerkson leads the Party to victory on October 24, he will remain Leader. The Board will pursue the appropriate means under the Party's Constitution and Bylaws and the Societies Act to give effect to this intention.
A Premier chosen by British Columbians deserves the certainty of leading his party. This amendment will provide it.
Board of Directors,
Conservative Party of British Columbia
It was wonderful to welcome everyone to my townhall meeting on local businesses in Maple Ridge this past Wednesday. A special thank you to all the panelists who helped answer your questions including my colleague, MLA @gavindew for Kelowna Mission, Kalith Nanayakkara from the CFIB, Kristi Maier, CEO of the Ridge Meadows Chamber of Commerce, and Nicole Archer, the Executive Director of the DMRBIA.
The discussions were lively and informative. The concerns raised at the meeting will instruct what I bring to the provincial government during the upcoming fall session so I can advocate on behalf of Maple Ridge's small businesses. #MapleRidge
On Wednesday, I joined my colleague @LawrenceMok_ in Maple Ridge for a small business townhall.
Like everywhere in BC, the local business community is keeping their chins up as they face challenges and uncertainty brought on by both Trump tariffs and self-inflicted NDP policies.
If you are a business owner in Maple Ridge, please stop by my local business townhall tonight from 5:30PM-7:00PM at the Maple Ridge Library. I look forward to answering your questions.
