I just think you can only compare the statutory requirements as some US companies will pay advanced maternity packages, just as many here will pay only what's required.

Today I learnt that Switzerland uses different plugs to the rest of Europe. Sadly I learnt this by turning up in Basel with a bag full of (useless) European travel adapters.
