Absurdity at play with @eon_next right now. I do not have all the facts about all the cases linked below, sure. In my own case, I am in credit, my usage is below my Direct Debit amount, and the eon usage predictor wants to 4x my payment. @ofgem @MartinSLewis @MoneySavingExp

@sue_wareham75 @eon_next @ofgem Hey Sue, yes, same situation with me. They have told me my Direct Debit will go up by more than quadruple, which is absurd.
The customer care rep says “price cap” and my “usage is going up”, but when I submit my readings my account gets charged below my Direct Debit amount

The performance of the UK's Challenger 2 in Ukraine should give us great confidence in the upgraded Challenger 3 MBT that will soon be delivered to British Army RAC units. The tank will receive Rheinmetall's L55A1 120 mm smoothbore gun. This fires DM73 (and soon DM83) APFSDS long rod penetrator, which can defeat 800+ mm of RHA steel armour, while the DM11 multipurpose programmable HE round is ideal for supporting assaulting infantry. The most significant improvement is Epsom armour. The Challenger hull and running gear were always excellent thanks to Horstman's hydraulic suspension arms. To de-risk the programme, we should invest in new build hulls (the design work was previously done for Challenger 2E) and install a proper engine upgrade, e.g., MTU's MT883 EuroPowerPack with 1,650 hp, as this would offset the not insignificant weight growth. And, of course, we should upgrade not only the gun tanks, but also CRAARV, Titan bridgelayer and Trojan AVRE. Finally, if we really want to get serious about re-shoring a domestic capacity to produce armoured vehicles, we might want to produce 420 CR3s and send 200 of those to Ukraine.
