my therapist said this to me, and it hit me like a brick “if it drains you, it’s not for you. love, friendships, jobs, anything meant for you will nourish you, not exhaust you. 1/2
People are often in a state of disbelief when I tell them that, as a therapist, I want less pathologising, less diagnosing, less labelling, and less dependency on therapy.
