- What type of inequalities might people suffering from structural heart disease be confronted to ❓
- How does it impact detection and treatment ❓
- What can be done, in the region, by the different stakeholders to improve the current situation ❓

📽 International Longevity Centre (@ILCUK)'s @ArunimaHimawan discusses the “Holding us back? Tackling inequalities in the detection and treatment of structural heart disease in Europe” report in the below video: https://t.co/Q16RXlLyN7

On World Health Day ⚕, we wanted to share the report developed by the International Longevity Centre (@ILCUK) on inequalities and structural heart disease (SHD).

🫀 SHD affects the heart’s valves, atria, ventricles, and blood vessels. The condition can be serious but is treatable, yet the research reveals disparities in terms of detection and treatment in Europe depending on the following factors: Age, socioeconomic status, gender, ethnicity, and location.

The report aims to shine a light on inequalities in SHD; an area that has been largely overlooked in research and policy discussions: https://t.co/sxm71bVROb

🗣 We are pleased to partner with @MedTechEurope
for the following session at the #MTF2024 in Vienna:

Amidst critical healthcare workforce shortages, hospitals face capacity challenges, necessitating innovation in processes, technology, and mindset. With the Belgian Presidency prioritizing an EU health workforce strategy, the #MedTech Industry must foster consensus on the role of innovation in addressing shortages.

🔍 The session will explore the following topics:
- How to reconcile the growing care needs with gaps in the offer from healthcare workers
- The role of health technology in improving the capacity of healthcare systems
- How to instigate sustainable change for resilient healthcare systems

We welcome @yannickneuder commitment to combat #CVD
Dr Yannick Neuder, cardiologist and French politician, has engaged with the French government, sounding the alarm about the CVD crisis—a veritable “sanitary bomb” in France. Fighting against it, improving CVD screening and ultimately introducing a CV health plan is the only way forward.
