@BostonByBirth What a beautiful baby. I disagree that he didn’t do anything to help humankind. He has brought a spot of brightness to so many who have seen this post - and in this timeline, that is not nothing. Thank you for sharing his sunshine with us. It brightened my day.
As a former trustee of Social Security, I'm worried the program is in danger of running dry. Why?
As the rich have gotten richer, more of their income has escaped the cap on the SS payroll tax.
We can fix this by scrapping the cap. Watch.
Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.
The 46th President of the United States.
2 term Vice President to Barack Obama.
US Senator from Delaware from 1973 to 2009.
He ran for office in 2020 to get Trump out of office.
He ended up doing so much more.
15+ million jobs created, the strongest recovery from a global recession anywhere, massive investments in American infrastructure, the largest undertaking to combat climate change (ever), bringing back high tech jobs, supporting the unions, raising wages across the board…and more.
He believed in building the economy from the bottom up and the middle out. He didn’t just talk about it. He did it. It angered the wealthy class somewhat fierce, but Joe always knew who he worked for. The blue collar lunchpail American.
He managed multiple global conflicts while defending our democracy against a fascist uprising here at home.
He defended our allies. He strengthened NATO. He restored our place of global leadership.
Many will opine on his legacy in the days, months and years to come.
The shining jewel of his storied career is this.
He believed America’s best days are ahead of us, not behind us.
He wanted to see America’s recovery from the Trump years continue.
He was even willing to sacrifice himself to see it happen.
We owe it to Joe to never let that madman tarnish his legacy.
BREAKING: Senate Republicans just blocked legislation to protect a woman’s right to travel across state lines to get the health care she needs.
Make no mistake: right now in America, MAGA Republicans are trying to hold women who need abortion care captive in their own states.
It’s never one person…it’s the team they bring to the table. Team Biden is generating jobs, leading the world in post-pandemic recovery, overseeing the largest investment in American infrastructure, managing two international conflicts with a steady hand while strengthening our alliances within NATO, taking on OPEC, big Pharma…the list is long and it impacts the vast majority of Americans in positive, meaningful ways.
Also, we’ll still have a constitution and a functioning democracy at the end of their term.
It should be good enough for any reasonable American.
Let’s dispense with the “I alone can fix it” fantastical bullshit and think about good governance like rational adults.
@umairh I can't get over the millions of Americans who grew up believing in American democracy who have embraced the idea of fascism led by a man so unworthy of the Presidency. 🤯
Judge Chutkan will hold a hearing to process the SCOTUS ruling.
Any decisions she makes about what remains in scope for a trial will be challenged…all the way back to those who architected his escape.
There will not be a trial before the election.
Make your peace with it and then suit up.
It’s up to us to fend off this darkness at the ballot box.
We are the last line of defense.
Being President of the United States is not performance art.
Nor is it one-liners.
An American President needs vision ,compassion, morality,
concern,honesty,civility.
Fundamental decency.
All of these golden qualities with the ability to lead the United States back to normality of these qualities.
To achieve for the good.
Respect for the smallest and most needy and strength to stand up to powers that threaten them here and abroad.
Our future is the Biden path.
Vote for Biden/Harris.

I was not planning to vote for Biden because his administration has failed and harmed many people in many ways, but John Oliver’s recent episode on Trump and Project 2025 has me convinced that not voting for Biden could be incredibly dangerous.
I wish we had better options, but I’m not sure we do, and it’s a crappy feeling to think that the best we can do is vote for the lesser of two evils.
The people who told you to calm down because they’d never overturn Roe are now telling you to calm down because they’ll never ban birth control.
Vote blue all the way down the ballot.
