@Heminator Super rural Mississippi dweller here- no, we do not depend on PBS or NPR. Can only speak personally, of course. I tune in to watch Antiques Roadshow and a few other documentaries occasionally but that's about it.

I can honestly say that I didn't have a clue who most of the "celebrities" were. It could be my age (I'm 52) or that my viewing habits have taken a sharp downward turn over the years because of the ideology they continue to insist upon feeding us. I really only recognized 4 or 5 from the photos I saw.
