It’s the moral bankruptcy of our medical industry that heralds science as drugging kids, not figuring out why they’re sick in the first place. It is the breathtaking lack of humility and curiosity from our medical leaders when US children have the highest rates of autism, cancer, autoimmune conditions, prediabetes, obesity, and depression of any society in human history - while we pay more for healthcare than any country ever.

The response from the medical industry is that any questioning about a better way is “anti-science.”

In this context, President Trump marshaling his leaders in front of a microphone to give a rallying cry for academic inquiry and abundance of caution is the most necessary, brags, and defiantly pro-science act a government could take.

It didn’t always used to be this way. 12 years ago, the @acog rang the alarm bells about the link between Tylenol and autism. Since this time, the evidence has only gotten stronger. But today, the organization is releasing breathless statements that Tylenol is safe for “pregnant patients” - which are then dutifully used by the media to “slam” President Trump.

The moral bankruptcy of our medical industry threatens the survival of the country.
