@Milajoy The only way it wouldn’t make sense would be if the majority of New Yorkers have more than 750k net worth at the time of their death. I’d bet the vast majority have less than that. In that situation, most stand to benefit, so in a democracy, that’s the winning approach.
@BreeG68@izthisJudah@BigPopz72 Every train I’ve seen in the US has green or blue seats and steel poles. The seats here are red and the poles are yellow. So we need red seats and yellow poles? It’s worth a shot, I guess.
@agtalbot@ponygirl923@saylordocs Do you not understand how transfers work? Jesus Cocksucking and Manfucking Christ. When you transfer ownership of something to someone, you transfer control of it as well.
@SoH308@ponygirl923@saylordocs Most of those are sending money they earned from working. You can’t exactly put a blanket ban on all foreign citizens wiring money back home, so you can’t stop that.
@fadd_k@NYC_Andrew@lizcollin Naked, maybe, if it’s deemed to be expression. Yelling cunt? Absolutely. Legally defined obscenity is not the normal meaning (bad language), it’s more like publicly displaying hardcore porn. It’s a VERY strict standard. Speech would almost never hit it.
@fadd_k@NYC_Andrew@lizcollin Buddy, you just listed two examples of free speech. Assuming you mean obscenity as in profanity, ie “bad language”. LEGAL obscenity is not protected, but you would need to basically have literal porn (not just nudity, I mean active fucking) in the window to be legally obscenity
@NYC_Andrew@lizcollin What’s shameful and horrendous about it? Kids listen to music, watch tv, and in the case of my own children, are sometimes in the room with me when I lose while playing Dark Souls, Dead by Daylight, or APEX Legends online. “Dad? What’s a cum-chugging syphilitic gutter whore?”🤬
@amuse The thing about rights is they aren’t dependent on things being feasible or not. If it’s impossible to do something unless you violate rights, then that thing is legally impossible. The end.
