Pretty huge. Canada now has a current accounts surplus for the first time in 4 years. The current account is how much money a country earns from exports and investments vs what it pays out abroad. Canada is bringing in more foreign currency through trade than it's sending out.
Canada posted its first current account surplus in four years, led by strong gains in goods exports, including energy products.
Some of you are overly pessimistic about the US trade war; some of you are overly pessimistic about Canada’s ability to build and develop resources. Let me tell you that Canada will produce and export more potash, uranium, copper, oil, natural gas and gold next year and in the years following. It’s baked in already. The only question is how much global market share we will gain.
this should be a five alarm fire for policymakers in canada

With some of the misinformation that goes around regarding data centres, it’s understandable why some are nervous about their development.
The truth is, the power and water consumption as well as carbon emissions of these data centres is dramatically lower than viral posting would have you believe. ⚡️💧
Further, most data centres aren’t being used primarily for AI. They’re being used for your cloud storage, entertainment streaming, emails, and the things you’ve been using on the internet for a long time already. Only ~14% of data centres power usage is attributable to AI. 🤖
Data centres are buried in misinformation online.
We need them – they’ll enable Canadians to control our digital future.
We must overcome the fear and build data centre projects that are effective, long-term, and a net benefit for all. 🇨🇦
