And the demons whispered: - Tell this - remember, he insulted you. To the one - remember how you were praised. And to this - make him look at the watch. And the service goes on, but prayer has left their hearts. The man watched, trembling with horror: - But you spoil everything, you destroy everything! - No - they answered - we only use what people carry in their hearts. And then he felt that it was becoming heavier, as if black smoke was consuming him. - Enough! - he screamed. - let me go ! But the demons laughed: - It's too late, you invited us. We have shown you our craft, now you are ours. Scared, he began to pray the best he could: "Lord, have mercy! Mother of God, save me! “ And in that moment, the sky was flashing with light. The angel of the Lord appeared, and the darkness split. Demons roared and disappeared, like smoke in the wind. The man woke up on earth, near the cross, and he could not get up for a long time. Tears were pouring from his eyes, and his heart was burning with shame. He realized: curiosity towards evil could cost the soul eternity. Since then, he never sought darkness, but lived in remorse and told everyone he met: "Don't trust the cunning, he always starts with curiosity. And the end is doom.
