Well said thread.

There's so much literacy we "do" every day.

Can't wait!

[Rev. Dr. Jacqui Lewis @RevJacquiLewis]

We're really having a public debate about whether slavery was good for enslaved people.

That's how deep our political life has descended into overt white supremacy.

@heymrsbond I'm so grateful for your voice here. Been teaching awhile, now as a literacy interventionist & working with teachers.
Learning as much as I can about how deep-seated WSC is in school and how to best use my voice to question/disrupt.
Also-Sandwich gen. w/focus on neurodiversity.

@dst6n01 Totally agree. Here the past couple years of funding for covid learning loss have gone to these support positions K-12. Funding is running out, so positions are going away.

Need for support is not going away.

School funding. Ugh.

Hundreds of women are gathered outside of at the state Capitol right now.

"I don't think you have to be a mother to see the logic in prioritizing children's lives over gun ownership."

Actress Lake Bell and Co-Host and Managing Editor of "Daily Blast Live," Sam Schacher-- two moms who are in Denver to support a total ban on guns there:

It was an honor to have @AlexSVenet on the podcast to explore her equity-centered approach to trauma-informed teaching. We talk about what this approach looks like in practice, common misconceptions, and a decision-making framework you can use right away.

No person, no family, no community, no people should be made to suffer such trauma. #TyreNichols

[Be A King @BerniceKing]

My father’s “dream” wasn’t palpable to the white masses, including politicians.

He challenged militarism and sought to eradicate it.

He worked to end poverty, as caused by extreme capitalism and materialism.

We need to know the authentic King…The Inconvenient King.

I've been seeing some posts from well-intentioned faculty about eliminating all deadlines in their classes. I study #ExecutiveFunction, #stress and #mentalhealth in college #students, and I'm here to tell you this will hurt the students you are trying to help. . . 1/buckle up

Important work with students. Thank you for sharing @Jess5th

[AFRICAN & BLACK HISTORY @AfricanArchives]

Everyone knows Lewis & Clark, but did you know that there was a black man who was also part of the expedition?

As he was enslaved by William Clark, he participated as a full member of the expedition & was present when the expedition reached the Pacific Ocean.
