being carsick is so funny. you’ll be in prime physical health & then you’ll make the mistake of glancing at your phone in the backseat of an Uber going barely 25 mph
Just read about the planned new "open" category in #swimming. Would it not be time to create categories based on the criteria not changeable through training which make you successful in a given sport - instead of gender (which in a few sports may not even be relevant)?
Does anyone know why long life milk (UHT) is not a thing in #Denmark? Or better, what shops carry it? The plant based alternatives are not that terrible, but given that there's e.g. UHT cocoa, why not 🥛?
Has anyone calculated for #Switzerland what amount would be available for a #BasicIncome if all social security costs (payouts, subsidies, discoumts, administration, ...) and child benefits up to that #BasicIncome amount were simply to be covered by #BasicIncome (#ZeroSum)?
@skoop As often: it depends ;-)
I agree those coding tests where you have to solve some algorithmic problems are not right for most jobs. But small tasks around understanding code, fixing bugs or implementing some tiny feature inside a given small (synthetic) code base (I/II)
@jonasLyk@horsicq I'm more than happy to let anyone who provides me with free - and very useful - tools give me an insight into their world (as long as it's ethical)! 👏🫂 And yes, you're right, everyone should better get used to accepting other people's preferences! 🥰
@TreciaKS@KevinRossi If you're learning, there's a huge upside to using TS (within e.g. VS Code) vs. JS: you get much better feedback from the IDE, better content assist, and it forces you to think about (otherwise implicit) types explicitly.
@HangDewan I'm late to the party, but here's my 2 cents:
* any IV question should be a starting point for a discussion
* knowing that there is "truthy" / "falsey" and not just "true" / "false" is very relevant
Given that, I'd say this can be one (of many) valid questions in an IV ;-)
@DataScienceDojo@brightwhizmag This is just confusing, what's the thing contained in the sets (circles)? Looking at the select statements, it can only be the keys, right? But then it doesn't really tell us anything about what we're interested in: the records.
My conclusion: wrong diagram type...
The good news is: it' happening! First challenge will go up tonight. It's a warm-up challenge I'm almost certain almost everyone can solve - no pressure, though 😅!
