Didn't think I'd be posting about this here, but here we are.
I'm going thru some financial difficulties at this time. If you can help at all (or just share the GoFundMe) it'd be hugely appreciated.

@realJaredGilman Hey Jared. I watched this for the first time this March and it hit me like a brick, instant favorite. Fantastic job to you and Kara and Wes and everyone else involved with this, and thank-you for making it.
It'd be hypocritical of me to completely side with Niftski in the recent SMB1 situation. As much as I understand his frustration, I have definitely been the speedrun moderator who changes his mind about whether something should be allowed AFTER someone gets a new WR with it (1/3)
(3/3) and as much as I'd like to ideally move on and never talk about it again, situations like Niftski's definitely remind me that I've been on both ends of this. I don't think the mods are right here, but I also can't pretend I've always been any better.
It doesn't get addressed a lot, but there was a certain trick in Hobbit speedruns that I only vouched for the banning of in NMG *after* MK got a new WR using it (despite also being the one to teach it to him). Obviously that's something that was not fair of me (2/3)
@CNviolations Love how they let Matt talk without interrupting him and then he doesn't let them finish a single sentence without interrupting them. Go Matt, that's how you play fair!
Anxiety tip: Next time you cringe over some embarrassing moment you had years ago try to remember other people's embarrassing moments. You can’t can you? That’s because you’re the only embarrassing human to exist, everyone else is always thinking about how cringey you are.
Recently learned that Rapsittie Street Christmas has Mark Hamill in it. Have dedicated myself to watching and ranking every movie with Mark Hamill in it, will update later.
@PB_Speedruns It's a lot more nuanced than that. People with large followings have a lot more people reaching out to them on a regular basis, and it simply isn't practical to be able to respond to everyone.
