A $500 6 max with a $100 rake starting at 11 am (late reg until 4:30) and a $1500 50k guarantee with a $160 rake at 2 pm @MGMNH_Poker. Someone who understands tournaments @MGM needs to help this property out. What a disaster this entire property has become in so many ways.

@bmuelz @MGMNH_Poker @_ChrisMcCall_ It’s due to the $40 “voluntary staff add on” they sneak in that they don’t want to show as rake but that’s exactly what it is. You can technically buyin for $560 and get I believe a 30% reduction in your stack. This property is a disaster lately.

Big O tournament @MGMNH_Poker charging a 21% rake today. This $40 “Voluntary staff add on” they’re sneaking into the rake for every tournament is wildly insulting.

This reflects poorly on the entire MGM poker brand.

@DougPolkVids Some people want to comfortably have multiple max buyins at whatever stake they’re playing. It’s an ego defense mechanism along with understanding variance will be higher at uncapped. Dropping from 2/5 to a 1/2 uncapped game might dissuade some people when trying to rebuild.
