hello everyone!
life while chronically ill can be tough. this is a place to rest, acknowledge the difficulty, and allow yourself to breathe. we won’t ever deny that pain exists, but the aim is to find the hope in the midst of it. welcome to chronic positivity ❤️
there can be a lot of expectations for the holidays, but it’s okay if you aren’t able to do all the things you think you “should” do. if your holidays look different than an able-bodied person’s, that is 100% okay. protecting your physical & mental health is most important. 🫶🎄
to anyone currently dealing with heavy things: I know it’s dark right now, but you are not alone. I’ll light a candle and sit with you until the darkness ends. 🫶🕯️

as some of us head into the holiday season, pour yourself an extra serving of compassion and grace. the holidays are hard enough, doubly so with chronic illness. it's okay if you don't have it all together. ❤️🎄
remember to give yourself grace for whatever capacity level you find yourself at, and know that you are enough no matter what.
sending you all the love as you navigate the day with your spoons, baby or otherwise 🫶🥄 3/3
🥣 the spoon theory is a popular way to explain energy levels with chronic illness, but I love the idea of breaking it down even further — if your spoons are tiny AND few, that is more than okay. 2/3
I'm so excited to be a guest speaker at The Embrace Summit tomorrow! We'll be sharing navigating emotional well-being with chronic illness. This is a free online event that you can attend from home in your pajamas. I would love to see you there 🫶🧡

it takes a lot more energy just to survive with chronic conditions, and we often don't have much energy to begin with. give yourself grace if you are fatigued, need to rest more, or aren't as energetic as your peers. you're not lazy—the playing field is just different for us. 💕
if you are currently feeling overwhelmed, here is a reminder that you can slow down. take a deep breath. remember that you don't have to make it all happen right away. you can just take things one day, one moment, one breath at a time. 💗
negative emotions like guilt and shame may feel like what we deserve, but they weigh us down instead of moving us forward. it's okay to let go of what doesn't serve you anymore. you are allowed to forgive yourself. ❤️
A story is not a static thing. Neither are you. Your story has not finished taking shape yet. There are still so many chapters and pages left for you to discover. 📖💖
if any of this resonates with you, I’m reaching out across the cyberuniverse to hold hands. we can make ourselves bolder and brighter. in some ways, I think we already are. 🎇 8/8
