@ZPostFacto@iamcs2kitchen Ye I know, we are completely on the same page and what I’ve experienced correlates with your info, that just confirms to me that a command to prioritize direct connection would benefit atleast me, so I dont have to reconnect several times or block the ip bc of initial measurement
@ZPostFacto Yeah that makes sense with the logic you are referring to vs my experience and yeah well I’ll just keep blocking the ip’s that give me higher input feel. Rly not ideal, and would love to be able to keep these servers as backups when there is no “direct connection” instead.
Thanks
@ZPostFacto I’m aware the system chooses the best routing when ping is measured, the reason that I say coin toss with sto and sto2 is bc it changes constantly but when locked in it doesn’t reevaluate the sto2 primary while in game, I have reconnect. Would love if it would prioritize direct.
@iamcs2kitchen@ZPostFacto As far as I understand it just forces the use of SDR where 0 is auto, but I only play premier, so it’s already Valve servers.
At this point I just block the servers that valve routes me through when I have an issue mid game.
@ZPostFacto Sure, thanks for commenting!
It’s been the same on dif isps and places I’ve lived and often just a reconnect fixes it or a sto2 block.
And try and gather some data if possible.
Biggest issue rn is the Frankfurt server being so saturated at peak hours 😅
@ZPostFacto I would love a option to disable the “routed through” feature with a command instead of ip blocking as I do now or maybe the system to prioritize not “re-routing”.
Maybe I don’t understand the system but routing should available when I mid game even can just block sto2?
@ZPostFacto But when on sto2 and I reconnect, wait 5 sec for connection to drop I get sto.
It’s been like that since csgo, I just block the sto2, but would be nice to not have to so it’s used as the backup server!
So it is available, your system just decides it’s better at the exact time.
@ZPostFacto “routed through” so in my example I don’t have to block the sto2 ip in my router to get a more even connection. Like I said it seems like a coin toss on which route looks the best, but always feels worse!
@ZPostFacto it’s basically a coin toss every time I connect/reconnect then it can’t really be considered “the best path” according to the system?
Had the same issue when LHR was introduced, connected directly was awesome, but through ams I get noticeable input delay.
Note: dif pc’s and isp
@ZPostFacto One quick question, would you ever consider letting the user decide if the “routed through” option can be disabled?
I’ve been having issues with cs using sto2 as primary server since csgo and I always have considerable worse input delay. Often if I reconnect I get sto, so if…..
@fREQUENCYCS@FPSHEAVEN I’m still on bios 1404 on my Asus X870E Hero.. maybe it’s time to upgrade 🤷🏼♂️
It runs perfectly in CachyOS, but inconsistent in VantageOS, maybe bc win handles the cpu differently and therefore need newer AGESA versions?
