@fakebaldur No reading time stat at all is better than a long reading time stat for my mind. Isn't the aim is get people to start reading, and hope the content is good enough for them to continue? If so, why have either time or word count? For me at least, it's more likely to be a turn off.

@fakebaldur Whilst reading time might be wildly inaccurate in some cases, I have no mental model for how long it takes to read 2000 words. It would take me more cognitive effort to make that conversion, cos its the time I'm interested in.
