@DrAnnieHickox TIP: When facing CCHR protestors, use Scientology's backfiring "taboo" words: XENU (pronounced ZEE NEW) and BODY THETANS (pronounced BODY THAY TONS). The protesters from CCHR have to retreat when those words are constantly aimed at them, I suggest small counter signs.
@DrAnnieHickox MUST READ: Martin Gardner's "Fads and Fallacies...." book, Chapter 1, here, which pegs Hubbard correctly and this characterization of the mid 1900s cranks and crackpots, Hubbard always fit his whole life:

MUST READ the Chapter 1, from Gardner's always relevant book, putting Hubbard in the crank crackpot category, where Hubbard fits.
@samhall404 IN SHORT: Scientology's alternative spiritualism is exorcism-pseudo-therapy aimed to "free" the alien space ghosts infesting and harming us.
Scientology/Dumps on psychiatry/psychology never revealing their alien ghosts exorcism practices they think are the world's solution.
@samhall404 Best to just neutrally state Scientology's beliefs, which unfortunately haven't been widely yet simplified.
Hubbard thinks alien space ghosts infest us humans, unbeknownst to us. Scientology's OT 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 are the alternative "religious" spiritualism pseudo exorcism.
@SemiScientology Great site. The late William Burroughs to me was the most impressive "Scientologist" who quit Scientology.
And Burroughs' wrote some simple challenges after he quit which mirror your comment above. Burroughs rightly, like everyone else who quit Scientology, sees the above.
@nickgillespie @beatdom @Quillette Outstanding article. Bingo. Hubbard wished his Scientology were the Toynbee "religion" to save the world. It is meritless to the contrary. Megalomaniac Hubbard.
@TomCruise Please call Danny Masterson. Sit down with him. You can change a whole lot, there will be plenty of time. Do it. If you get Danny to come clean, turn himself in, plead guilty, face the music, that'd be good way wide in the real world
@TomCruise Mr. Cruise. One of your fellow celebrity comrades, Danny Masterson, needs his ethics put in. You could do it Tom. Honestly. Get Danny to fess up, plead guilty, pay the victims properly, do jail time, as that would help Scientology's reputation. YOU could do it.
@vinniecolaiuta@markisham@isamachine I love Mark Isham and your work Vinnie. But why the heck did you let Scientology marquis your name on their Scientology TV site. Things are over the line there. Peace
@TroMcManus@TB_Times Scientology's staffers, followers and trainees, I guarantee, are violating best safety practices. Specifically the Survival Rundown steps/procedures called CCHs 1 to 4. . Also they are doing "Upper Indocs." They touch each other repeatedly while doing those practices.
@TroMcManus I love all your excellent coverage, just a breath of fresh air detailing what you've so far covered about Scientology in Clearwater. I was a Scientologist staffer there, Dec 75 til Jun 83. I totally support you reporters today! Even back then too. - Chuck Beatty
@mahoneysthename@TroMcManus@TB_Times I love reading Tracey McManus' coverage of Scientology, I was once a member, quit them. I worked Dec 75 til Jun 83 in Clearwater in the ranks of the staff at the Fort Harrison and other buildings. So good to see Mark Bunker get voted in.
Love Tracey's reporting.
@TroMcManus@TB_Times As an ex Scientology staffer who helped train other Scientologists in the class room 1977-1983 at the Fort Harrison and then the Clearwater Bank building, this is a good development. More knowledge of the Scientologists' activities needs detailing. Hooray Bunker!
@TroMcManus@TB_Times Tracey, Please ask Ben Shaw if the Survival Rundown hand to hand touching and the "Upper Indocs" (see online, as these Scientology drills require holding another person) are done in Flag Building at this time. - Chuck Beatty, ex Flag Course Supervisor, who used to work there.
Reporters must ask Ben Shaw the exact right questions. a) Are Scientologists in the Flag Building still touching each other per the required checksheet drilling and Scientology processing, like the Survival Rundown, which requires hand to hand contact.
@ThomasCTobin@TroMcManus Thankyou for taking note. Someday sooner than later, a reporter will ask, "How many personal contact, touching hands, touching or holding each other, activities are required by the daily services done in the Flag Building?" They are not eliminating touching each other!
Clearwater City Council member Mark Bunker was quarantined on Election Day and could not even go vote for himself. Today he got confirmation he tested negative for coronavirus.
