@ChrisNowinski1 Slick surfaces on helmets allow many hits to “slide by”. Increased diameter and textured surface reduce that advantage and may increase rotational forces. I always thought most concussions were the result of “unexpected “ collisions” that were unseen by the player.
The thing here is that @barrymcknight is much more than a broadcaster. A genuine, caring person who helps all around him. Blessed to have been colleagues with him at Troy. Congrats!

@BenOnSports@thomasgleaton In 76 WKU didn’t have any stands on the visitor side of the stadium. There was a chain link fence, and a very large field! Odd experience.
I've been very outspoken in my criticism of the baseball showcase industry as a direct contributor to the escalating injury rates we're seeing in young players. And thanks to this study, we have some even more eye-opening data that demonstrates this trend. (1/)
Overrated for recovery:
- Compression boots
- Foam rolling
- Ice baths
Underrated for recovery:
- 8+ hours of sleep
- 1g of protein per Lb of BW
- 1.5-2g of carbs per Lb of BW
- Water
Prioritize these this preseason
