@JimZajac268856@W_Drehs Existing rating system doesn't work, even if coaches are forced to fill out surveys. Force use of assignors to eliminate conflicts of interest, drive more evaluations for better postseason officiating - you'll get more volunteers. No one wants to be yelled at for a bad partner.
@JimZajac268856@W_Drehs IHSA could invest in more evaluators and hold the bad ones accountable. There will always be the "noisy" fan, but everyone knows they're full of BS. When both teams complain, maybe it's not the complainers' fault? IHSA fails at accountability here.
@TrustTrost I watched a HS coach in another sport earlier this year keep starters in for 3/4 of a game that he never had a chance of losing, and that was a sad state of affairs because the B-team never got to truly compete. He could have started the second team and still won the game.
@TrustTrost I would have to see the details to have an opinion on the specific game-if it's "keep the starters in, ram it down their throats", I'm w/ you, but if an opportunity for the second team(s) to play, then let them enjoy the experience, especially where second teams rarely get in.

@BarackObama Answer is simple-require all states use computers and draw maps to minimize sum of all district areas, measured by lateral distance of district E-most point to W-most point, times distance from district N-most point to S-most point, all equal pop. No more discrimination.
