If they had Stinger missiles in Benghazi, why didn’t they shoot down the plane that came in from Tripoli before it landed? It was the only aircraft in the sky.

Why didn’t they shoot it down after it took off from Benghazi carrying roughly 90% of the Americans? Why didn’t they shoot down the C-130 when the rest of us departed?

If their goal was to kill us, those were the perfect opportunities.

The reason everyone was told to stand down is because nobody knew we were still under attack at the CIA Annex. That’s the reality. Like it or not, that’s what happened.

Our Team Leader (TL), the Chief of Base (COB), and the Deputy Chief of Base (DCOB) were not telling people above them that we were still under attack. Found this out 10yrs later. If there’s a cover-up, it’s protecting the COB and the TL, I guess. That’s on CIA leadership.

As for why Ambassador Stevens came to Benghazi, I can’t say anything beyond what’s already public because I didn’t work for the State Department.

We actually believed the attack was going to happen on the 13th at the school, which would have been far worse. But apparently some people think they know more about it than those of us who were actually there.

And no, Ambassador Stevens was not tortured, mutilated, raped, or dragged through the streets. Those claims are false.
