@ScarMurray99 Good article. 'My' Doctor was Jon Pertwee. Back then each episode was just under half an hour and ended on a cliffhanger. We had to wait a whole week to find out what happened next. That also made it part of the shared experience.

Just seen that Erich von Daniken has died. His book, Chariots Of The Gods, was required reading back in the 70's. Always remember being gutted when the BBC aired an Horizon documentary debunking the whole thing.
