@mreon_marketer You're right.
And a support shouldn't followup with the main goal of pressuring the customer to complete their purchase.
Genuinely conversing to find out the challenge most times would lead to closing the sale easily.
Customers can sense desperation and lack of empathy too.
Abandoned carts deserve investigation, not assumptions.
The customer might have changed their mind.
Or they might have had a question about delivery, payment, sizing, returns or product quality.
Follow-up should answer uncertainty, not pressure the customer.
This is why it's important businesses prioritise good customer support department.
AI can do a lot of things but it won't take the place of a human touch. This is where human empathy comes in.

What AI will not do for your business, ever:
Make the phone call to the customer who is angry.
Apologize to the employee whose promotion you passed.
Go to the funeral of the client's father.
Write the personal thank-you note after the deal closes.
These are the four hours of your month that decide whether you have a business in five years, or just a Twitter following.
Protect those hours. AI cannot help you there.

She wouldn't need a lot of convincing to get clients to work with cause the results and evidence are there.
Beautiful move!

A customer who abandons checkout might still want the product.
Sometimes the missing piece is information.
Clear shipping details. Clear returns. Clear product information. Clear payment options.
Reducing uncertainty can recover sales.
This why every business still needs a human touch, a customer support person.
AI helps to automate workflows especially those that are repetitive. But then there are actions that has to be overseen or supervised by a human agent before been processed.
When AI writes your customer emails, three things happen in this order:
Month 1: customers stop noticing your emails.
Month 3: customers stop opening them.
Month 6: customers churn without a specific complaint.
The fix is not to abandon AI. The fix is to make the AI write drafts and let a human add the one line that only a human at your company could write.
That one line is why they stay.
That's why it's important to make that move as soon as you get the idea. Try out that business, try out that new thing.
You would make mistakes but, you will learn.
Better to make that mistake earlier than later.
A support team that measures only ticket volume might reward the wrong behaviour.
An agent who closes 100 tickets quickly isn't necessarily outperforming someone who resolves 60 complicated issues properly.
Measure quality alongside quantity.
