I know TSG's value in dealing with 'harder face of policing' i.e. when this is required.

Too much denial on self evident cases is pointless. Just adds to the daily defensive from our police.

But, this is not where public concerns are focused.
As a senior manager, your public expect you to analyse how equipment is used. Specifically analysis of risk if used inappropriately by SOME personnel.

Each strike must be justified. Sufficient time has elapsed for an MPS update on: (1) unseen risks providing justification; (2) remedial action underway if strikes not immediately justifiable or (3) other / unknown factors.

If there were unseen facts proving the actions justified OR the officer misread risks and lost control ...OR some other explanation? By now we should at least have an interim update.
