Intentemos ayudar a Diego. No cuesta nada hacer un retuit, y puede significar mucho para él. Es un gesto que hacemos con muchos posts, pero este, sin duda, será muy especial.
Por favor. ❤️
For the first time in 75 years, the Sam Mcguire Cup comes home to Mayo, Ireland.
I said it three years ago when I was in Ballina: Mayo for Sam!
And I meant it.
I said it because I know what it means not just the county of Mayo but to my own family’s story.
Today, the dream becomes reality.
Congratulations to my friends in Mayo. You earned this victory. Enjoy every minute. Sam is coming home ☘️

Words of condemnation alone will not stop attacks on Kyiv. Only sustained military support for Ukraine and increased pressure on Moscow can do that.
This week, the EU has started disbursing €6 billion under the €90 billion support loan to strengthen Kyiv’s defences.
Today, I will propose to sanction more entities supporting Russia’s military-industrial complex in response to the strikes. The more Moscow attacks civilians, the more sanctions must be imposed.
We keep raising the cost until Russia understands it cannot win.
EU staff in Kyiv are accounted for. I am deeply grateful to our colleagues on the ground, who continue their work with courage and dedication under the most difficult circumstances.
Tomorrow she was supposed to graduate from medical university.
She was 23 years old.
Today, a russian guided aerial bomb killed her in Kharkiv. Her graduation gown is lying next to her.
I keep looking at that gown because I had the same one.
I graduated from the same university. I remember how much that day meant after six years of studying. It felt like life was just beginning.
She should have been living that day tomorrow.
Instead, the last photo of her life is one where the graduation gown is no longer on her shoulders, but lying on the pavement beside her.
I don’t know why, but out of everything I’ve seen during this war, I don’t think I’ll ever forget this story.
Arrived in Brussels. Ahead today is a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and tomorrow with Prime Minister of Belgium Bart De Wever. An audience with King Philippe of the Belgians is also scheduled.
These are important days for strengthening our defense: there will be meetings with the defense ministers of the United Kingdom and Germany, a Ramstein meeting, and a meeting of the European Council.
I thank everyone who is helping and supporting us. Europe must be strong and united. This will largely determine how this war ends.
On Monday, Ukraine and Moldova will take their biggest step since opening EU accession negotiations in 2023.
Congratulations to both countries for their dedication and devotion to the European path.
Tonight’s decision by Member States to give the green light to opening the fundamentals cluster gives new impetus to ongoing negotiations.
This is truly a moment to celebrate. And a time to roll up our sleeves and work even harder.
Travelling home to Dublin tomorrow evening for Mary Black's last concert. It's been a long journey (for us both!) since I first had the chance to attend a MB concert (in the Olympia, Summer 1991 I think!). Just had to be there for the last hurrah tomorrow 🧡

@BirdingBrussels Je l'airecontré en 2019 (son petit-fils était scolarisé avec mon fils). C'est une personne extraordinaire sans amertume qui dedie sa vie à partager un message de tolérance.
Pleased to have opened the High-Level Roundtable on adapting our security and defence to the impacts of climate change, together with Commissioner @WBHoekstra, on behalf of @eu_eeas.
KALLAS: There can be no legal recognition of the occupied Ukrainian territory. There must also be accountability. Russia should pay for destruction it has caused. Any peace agreement must fully accept Ukraine’s sovereignty, independence, and right to choose its own alliances.
