Ireland’s Childcare Crisis

A few facts:

Between 2020 and 2025, more than €8 billion was allocated to the Department of Children.

Most of this money went towards migrant hotels that operate at 50%+ profit margin.

Companies linked to Séamus “Banty” McEnaney and his family have reportedly received more than €300million.

Since 2016, Ireland’s last three Ministers for Children have not had children themselves.

The Govt promised to reduce full-time childcare fees to approximately €200 per month. Delivering that commitment is estimated to require an additional €300 to €500 million per year.

Ireland currently allocates approximately:

€1.5 billion a year to childcare

Which is half the amount, €3 billion, they allocate to asylum, refugee and Ukrainian-related accommodation and supports

It has been just over two months (17 May 2026) since Alex Coughlan's rich and meaningful existence was casually and cruelly taken, and both of the accused have still yet to be charged with murder (further charges are lik ely in time). His family wish to keep Alex in the collective memory of the public as much as possible.

This entails more than acknowledging his death but also his life; and so they would like us to share this clip of Alex having a laugh with his younger sister Zara. To give another small glimpse into the type of person he was. To show that he had people who loved him. Who miss him. People whose path's were interwoven with Alex's in a million ways, until evil crossed his path on that unimaginable day.

Cannibalism is sick—and it's accelerating faster than we think.

Idaho Rep. Heather Scott (R-Blanchard) introduced HB 522 ("Cannibalism") in Feb 2024 to expand Idaho's existing ban (Idaho Code § 18-5003), prohibiting providing human flesh/blood without consent.

Passed House (62-5-3) March 2024 → died in Senate committee. No law change.

She's warning: Human composting (legal in WA since 2019) + prank media could normalize the unthinkable.

Key clip: 2015 Fameless (TruTV) prank where contestants think they ate human-flesh sausage—horrified reactions played for laughs (no real flesh). She sees it as cultural erosion.

Fear: Compost bone fragments in food chain + desensitizing jokes = acceptance before we notice.

Most states cover it via murder/desecration laws; explicit bans rare.

The owners of 500 bed D Hotel in Drogheda taken over by Govt to keep economic migrants / asylum seekers given €5.4 million taxpayers money for 3 months of accommodation.
#Louth is also losing €11 million tourist spending in town over 2 years.
The D Hotel should be for paying tourists not welfare tourists at expense of Irish workers. It needs to reopen as working hotel ASAP.
