@VictorTaelin If, and only if, it included kind of Lean-like proofs I would pay for it.
I assume that environment contain everything (because almost everyone is using it)
@katarynaaa Oprócz L4 (skandaliczne) to zaproponowano im obniżenie pensji, jedną osobę na dyżurze zamiast dwóch i leczenie guzów mózgu (czego one nie umieją)
@FakePsyho@krczyx Oh. All of the top lab researchers know they are building a weapon. Let’s not pretend they don’t. And there are multiple scenarios on how to use it. And EU is fucked up in this race
It honestly might be the best gift that the US government gave to Europe (and China) in a really long time.
I also expect this to rollback very soon. Access to US nationals only makes no sense. It should be either everyone or selected governments/institutions.
@FakePsyho@krczyx No. Scientists didn’t expect it. I’m talking to them (us) daily and they don’t seem to see the problem of spending over $1000 per month per user, although they know it’s out of the budget
@MozejkoMarcin So my friend took his theorem proof and improved (simplified) it using llm only to find out after few months that fix was incorrect (newer llm).
Niesamowite jest obserwowanie dwóch światów. W świecie matematyki zachwyt i szok, bo LLM rozwaliło Unit Distance Problem. W świecie humanistów odraza i szok, bo Noblistka mówi do LLMa "Kochana".
We're living in a 10-page world currently.
GPT-5.5 Pro can do a 10-page long reasoning on any math topic, which will be 99% correct 19 out of 20 times (and less correct in the remaining 1/20).
You can push it to 20 pages with the right harness and the right problem (independent parts).
The consequences of that are yet to be grasped fully, but in principle this already automates 95% of math research which is usually 5-10 pages based on using methods from previous 2-3 papers in a new setting. This kind of synthesis-proof GPTs excel at.
They can't see analogies across domains yet, they can't find new concepts, they lose coherence over 10 pages quickly, but these 5-10 pages arguments are perfect.
It means two things:
- it's going to change science completely
- getting to AGI is still non-trivial from here
