The scene where Soonrok wears earphones while being with Yumi was not meant to show that he was shutting himself off from her. Instead, after seeing Yumi using her own earphones, Soonrok put on his as a considerate gesture to help Yumi feel more comfortable.

2. The Story Behind the “Buying All the Bungeoppang” Scene

From Yumi’s perspective, the incident where Soonrok bought all the bungeoppang may have seemed annoying, but from Soonrok’s pov, it was actually a rational action. Kim Jae Won interpreted the character by imagining that Soonrok had arrived earlier and simply bought them because he genuinely wanted to eat bungeoppang. He didn’t have any bad intentions, he just really wanted the snack (bungeoppang).
