The biggest conflict is that the older generation in government have lived their lives and don't care if we have a future.

God does not visit! He is omnipresent! He is ever with us! It’s Benny Hinn who is visiting Kenya, not God.

Now, no matter how many times we sing revival, without systems and structures that ensure good governance, without addressing corruption, misappropriation of public resources as well as poor policies that oppress the citizens and undermine service delivery, we are just wasting our time talking about revival.

The government does not need to sponsor crusades for an economic revival to happen! It just needs to do what it was elected to do; diligently serve the people.

I saw Rachel Ruto saying that South Korea grew economically because there was a spiritual revival. This is propagating an idea that the word of God is a magic wand where you can ignore all its principles but expect certain manifestations. Rachel needs to read history and economics books to understand what the Asian Tigers did to be where they are today.

By the way, majority of the South Korea population is made up of non-believers. Another good example is China which is one of the world’s largest economy, yet it’s not a religious country. In fact, based on the ideology of the ruling Chinese Community Party, China is an atheist nation.

Many European countries were part of Christendom where the state and the church were intertwined. But beyond that they set up solid governance structures, and choose progressive leaders and great thinkers.

The gulf states are thriving and developing marvelous infrastructure pieces. Is it because they experience a Christian revival?

We want an economic revival? Let government officers led by the president and the first lady get back to their offices and follow Biblical principles. That is what this country needs.
