Well, considering I spent the last three days nonstop doing my federally Inc. Canadian business tax using rock, I have to chime in here… Was very helpful sometimes, but also was absolutely incorrect and sticking to it in another session. You better double check everything because you can really get screwed up fast. A key thing to remember I think it is don’t use voice mode, instead, use prompt. After submitting incorrect documents to the federal government, I went back to try to figure out what went wrong, and it seems the voice mode extra layer really impacted the quality of the results in a negative way. To be clear, in my case, it was a simple Question of what to put in one particular line, that is actually quite common, but GROK was dead fast positive on the wrong answer literally for half a day and really caused me a huge amount of waste of time. In retrospect, it was my fault for not clearing the context when I noticed it was an error by opening up a new chat instance. When everything was said and done, and I was on a different device GROK was quick to find its errors. Unfortunately, even though I am not a beginner, the answers were so confident and unwavering that I just went ahead and believed it. Also, in Canada, there was an article today about this exact problem where everyone’s using AI to do their taxes and it’s taking a lot of extra time to undo the errors that are being made. Overall though AI is a great help as an assistant, just remember that for something like taxes, you really have to do the work yourself and just get aid from the AI at this point. Hopefully in the future this or if they won’t happen, but it certainly did for me yesterday and caused me a lot of headaches. That being said, I absolutely love GROK. Cheers.
