@amscanlon Accept that life is chancy & anything can happen. Accept you are not special & bad things can happen to anyone. Death is not a punishment & surviving is not a reward. And I was on the Qantas flight that plummeted on landing a few years ago. The pilot (a woman) saved our lives.

The way we report on crime matters. This is from the front page of the @smh - it takes 5 paragraphs before it is alleged that the man set the car on fire in an act of family violence. This wasn't a 'car fire'. It was a horrific crime.
