@markmanson @gheeconnoisseur Fun fact about Prestige: on the Japanese poster they marketed it with the tagline “Natural genius vs learned genius.” I love how it examines art and obsession and the sacrifices we make to pursue greatness. I related to that a lot more than memento so I guess it’s subjective!
@markmanson @gheeconnoisseur Prestige doesn’t really need the twist at the end. It has so many layers to it. Memento is too reliant on a gimmicky time structure conceit that is cool but not that deep. memento is not really about anything. It’s a noir style exercise.
@DKellerCMT If we have a 2nd weak CPI print in a row, the market will rally into year end, if the CPI print is hot, then we crash. What happened on the chart in the past means nothing.
@leadlagreport The market isn't "wrong" its just that markets don't go straight up or straight down. The "crash" you are expecting will probably be an earnings rerating crash in Q1 23. The market is simply celebrating that the bulk of the rate hikes is over.
@RedHowto @fundstrat@ScottWapnerCNBC@CNBCOvertime I'm not talking about raising rates. I mean when he talks to the press I have a feeling he's gonna say that 1-2 soft CPI prints is not a trend and they are not even close to their target of 2%. All depends what the dec print is
@fundstrat@ScottWapnerCNBC@CNBCOvertime The thing I don't get Tom is, what is going to stop JPow from crushing this rally in Dec. It's not in his interest for this rally to continue.
@YourNBAInsider_ @fundstrat@ScottWapnerCNBC@CNBCOvertime @chris_fundstrat The thing about Fundstrat is that Brian Raucher is extremely bearish, Mark Newton is moderately bearish, and Tom is an uber bull. Who to trust???
