this is what the music industry has gotten all wrong about AI.
AI-generated music sucks ass. AI-generated DAW rocks.
can you imagine being able to spin up any plugin, synth, or virtual instrument you can imagine, mid-recording?
the way we scour the web for plugins, pay subscriptions, and then they fall out of compatibility with newer machines is so archaic.
i hope this will come to the music world
Powermove is out today. It's a video editor where the app itself is the thing you edit.
The kernel is intentionally tiny. Timeline, effects, inspector, the UI, all of it lives in extensions on top. Ask the Powermove agent for a feature and it writes an extension, the same way we built the rest of the editor.
After Effects won because of twenty years of plugins. We're trying to compress that into a prompt.

Anthony dropping the sauce on how we build content at @tenex_labs with a mix of AI and humans.
tl;dr
Build systems to allow AI to do most of the busy work.
Reserve all of the ideating, decision making, and review for the humans.
No one likes slop; your reputation is on the line. But this doesn't mean that AI doesn't have a place in your content process.

@saastrash@businessbarista the youtube description has links to the two skills i built, and you can find an MCP for any editor you use (my pref is Final Cut Pro)

what in particular are you looking for?
I’m happy to announce that AI is finally coming for my job.
This intro you see was made with GPT-6 Astra.
I gave Codex my raw footage, my script, and access to Final Cut. I described the visual direction with screenshots of references and natural language, and viola - beautiful results.
I still want to bring my own perspectives, come up with fun ideas to explore, and decide what deserves to be on screen. But the exporting, dragging, dropping, and repetitive cleanup? Please take it!!
Creators: what part of the process would you happily hand off?

My brother-in-law landed a job interview for two reasons:
1. He used AI to optimize his resume keywords for the ATS scanner
2. He dropped a bullet under Skills that read: "bicycle repair, eccentric ideating, frolicking amongst foliage and critters, and patriotism"
Guess which one they asked him about.
AI has a personality, but it’s just the average of everything it knows, and everybody's has the same one. Your quirks, your references, the weird asides you put in in parentheses — your ✨authenticity✨ — that’s the last remaining “moat” to stand out in anything you produce.
That's one of 5 things I learned making this video essay.
I spent a day yapping with my team at Tenex (people who are hired FOR their AI skills how they avoid making slop with it) to try and figure out: Why do people drift from using AI for grunt work to completely outsourcing their thinking to it?
The point here isn't as simple as "AI Bad" -- it's about how to put your thinking cap back on!

Grok Bot will soon be copied by every major lab.
It’s very clear that a dedicated VM for your bots in the cloud is a real winner.
Just like Anthropic had the 6 month head start for Claude code, Grok will have a head start as well (but won’t be as big).
As a lot of the infra for this has already been built by many of the other companies, they are just serving it in other ways.
And just like when we saw openclaw take off, we’re going to see this format explode as well within the next 3 months, and every major player will have their version of this.
I’m happy about it all. It’s really great to use for a personal, and work level.
And now my mind is racing thinking about once we have our team of agents for work and life, how we’ll soon look to one agent to talk with, and control the other agents.
And how that is going to change so much, and specifically, what formats it comes in.
For example, I’d love to talk to my grokbot agents in a Tesla while driving.
I’d love grokbot agents to have a strong voice mode like codex.
And I’d love to have a device that allows me to use these agents in an always on mode, allowing them to see and hear what I see, and being able to choose when to interact with them or not.
I’d love to be able to choose to run these agents in my own VM / hardware with a model of my choice as well (probably one that I can post train on my preferences)
We’re so close. Maybe within the next year. I’m excited, personally!
How do you feel?
