@Amalgam8Memory@frokiedude@tokidriffft this + the idea of wanting to stay special (in Kris's case, being the hero/most important despite feeling like a fraud) + jockington throwaway ch1 line about copying a ball 73 times sure does make me wonder
@Amalgam8Memory@frokiedude@tokidriffft While Kris isn't necessarily 1:1 with this song, they /are/ associated with princesses and we've gotten a hint via ch.4 egg room that they have repeated something over and over in an attempt to either get smth right or cover smth up
ANOTHER thing to consider ty my wonderful bb boy for putting me on to this
Monochrome doesn’t just mean grey, while the presence of these motifs is interlinked all colors / hues can be used to create monochrome works
A very famous old method of printing photos is Cyanotype
Feels like a lot of the importance of Kris’ character and being a copy was heavily stressed in chapter 1 in ways that were really difficult to notice. Surely 73 copies and SevenFour have no connection as ideas at all #deltarune
Remembering 2018 impressions of chapter 1 where it seemed like UT fanfiction + knockoff RPG parody, and even these two aspects become more clearly /intentionally/ placed. thematically, creativity/imagination draws from its own reality no matter how far from the roots it comes
Replaying chapter 1 yesterday set off so many bells in ways our rotted brains had not yet been enlightened to. the sun setting signifies the end of the adventure...
Replayed chapter 1 yesterday and made some crazy realizations. If chapter 1 is a microcosm of pre chapter 1 story events I think it paints a pretty clear picture of what happened. Hard for me to say what happened after this but I’m an Autonomous Dess believer so I think she-
Wrote a really long theory about UTDR, Homestuck & Mother 3 where I take a look at the conditions of Deltarune & Undertale's connections to one another. It's a long read and will be in video form soon, but for now if anyone is interested in a longer read, here:
@Amalgam8Memory honestly feels like one of the intents of Deltarune as a work may indeed be to show ppl in the most blunt way possible they too can be inspired by random things and roll around and roll around and it is wonderful because you put your love into it

@Amalgam8Memory its def indicative of a younger demographic / ppl with naive experience of stories, but really feels important to me that end of 10th anni that guy was like "the world is as big as you want it to be"
Every UTDR fan who wants to really make theories needs to watch / play Moon Remix and the Mother games and read Homestuck. Not like it’s required, but if you don’t realize how much these all get directly referenced you’re gonna miss so much stuff
