Dustin Saenz (@Dustinsaenz37) deals 1 strikeout, only allowing 1 hit and 1 walk through the final 2 innings Thursday. It was his first game at Whataburger Field since 2017 when @CCKing_Baseball faced Moody in playoffs. @ccisdathletics_@RidersBaseball

I’ve been watching a lot of the Juco World Series this week on ESPN+, and it’s the purest form of baseball I’ve seen in ages. No K zone. No radar gun. Dodgy field. Just guys chasing dreams and a ring. I couldn't love it more. Especially considering this is who’s pitching tonight.
HS Baseball Players ⚾️
I’ve been around this game a long time, and something’s changed...
We’re losing respect for the game.
• Chirping after every pitch.
• Celebrating routine plays like it’s Game 7
• Trying to embarrass opponents instead of beating them.
That’s not toughness. That’s insecurity. 💯
Somewhere along the way, being loud became more important than being good.
And the worst part? It’s being allowed.
When I came up…
• You showed up early.
• You handled your business.
• You played hard.
• You shut your mouth.
• If you had something to say…
you said it with performance.
• And if lines were ever crossed, the players took care of it.
The truth: 👇
• Baseball is hard.
• You’re going to fail.
• You’re going to struggle.
• The game doesn’t need more noise…
• It needs more respect.
• Nobody remembers who chirped.
• They remember who showed up.
• Who competed.
• Who handled adversity.
• Who left the game better than they found it.
Want to separate yourself?
Stop talking. Start working.
Respect the game.
💯⚾️
Wonder if we can ever get to a time where select baseball has actual seasons. A season that has a defined schedule with there being playoffs and a true championship. IMO that would help 14u kids and down how to compete more and be ready for HS and College. #thoughts
To the “too cool for school” high school kids who sit on the bench and don’t support their teammates…these are the dugouts at UTSA & Ohio State. Not a single player other than the pitcher and catcher sitting on the bench…
@AlwaysKnocking@DanClarkSports He was dominating in the “big leagues” / NBA. He wasn’t pulling this shit & looking like he doesn’t belong in the D league. Big difference
Not sure I’ve seen a pitcher, Right or Left handed for the Region V North or Region XIV South who has been below 90. Most of the 12 arms so far have been 91-93. Several 94’s and two 96’s. Yeah… @TXNM_JCBCA is arguably the deepest JUCO league in America.
