Finally, someone nailed the aesthetics to convey the civilizational stake of our present age.
Standing before the acropolis as the sun bathed its marble in warm tones, Rubio makes the case for the grandeur and virtues of Western civilization in all its splendor. Empires have risen and vanished beneath that ridge, and the stones remain, indifferent to the fashion of the hour.
Rare to hear a Western leader use vocabulary that modern education has largely purged - sacrifice, duty, inheritance, the debt owed to those who built before us.
The men who raised those columns did not do so under the illusion of permanent safety. They understood what separates glory and ruin, and that the only lasting answer to ruin is the deliberate transmission of daring and courage.
It's a glorious speech, truly one for the ages.
I honestly don’t care at all that I spend 30 years of my life learning syntax and now that knowledge is essentially useless.
Frankly, I’m relieved that I don’t need to care about it anymore. That stuff never really mattered anyways. Code was always just a means to an end.
All I care about is building products that users love. Now I can do that faster. That means I can have bigger impact.
If anything, software engineers should all be celebrating. I don’t understand why you’d “mourn” not needing to write code. The code was never the point.
@Mythun_@cherrizard The new trilogy is so incoherent that it feels like the directors just tried really hard to ignore eachother's work. A big consequence is that it feels super small scale star wars compared to the rest. Nobody took their time to develop the universe, just a few main characters.
Now that I think about it, I believe @reactjs has one of the best docs out there. I can tell because instead of google/stack overflow I go straight to the docs and I almost know it by heart and front-end is not even my thing. (Also i feel like mentioning @dan_abramov 's articles)
@type__error @dan_abramov I always found it pretty hard to find a proper tutorial that doesn't skip steps that the aithor considered to be too trivial to mention. This was always a big obstacle when diving into unknown languages and would cost me a lot of google time.

@DearRedGobbo
I recently moved to a city far from home where I didn't know anyone and feeling alone sucks! Through Warhammer 40k I met a bunch of awesome people and a welcoming community❤️ and it's been a great way for me to get started in this new chapter of my life. #RedGobbo
