@ilovetipsters1 He won on paraguay to qualify tonight though it was 7.8 closing line on Betfair drifted from 6.6. If your blocked you probably missed that. Maybe beating the betfair price doesnt matter as much as you and i think.
@WillWhiteBets Anybody else getting Harry Findlay vibes here? All seems good for a while you get a bit showy then variance comes for you. You revert to the mean and end up in a bad place.
@SantiSignals Is the altitude going to be important here. Ecuador are probably the most experienced playing at altitude of all teams but havnt done so for a long time and wont be acclimatised.
@Tombrownlee No. It probably has created a meaningful increase in fifas and American corporations bank balances which is what it was meant to do though.
@nickgoff79 I think it make sense though because france only made 4 changes. Mbape olise dembele all started. The market was probably anticipating a lot more french changes and for the star attacking players to be benched.
@Tombrownlee Yeah ILT has just cherry picked 1 example to support his narrative. Tom could still be right on New Zea though. If toms model saw value in backing Egypt vs Belgium and saw value in backing New Zea vs Egypt then logic would say it sees value in new zealand to beat Belgium.
@fmeetsdata imagine if there is a game where both teams are trying to lose what could happen is the game could end up being exactly the same except both teams are shooting in the opposite direction and goalkeepers has spontaneously switched goals. Wonder what the referee would do.
@foxblade98@Tombrownlee I asked a similar question in the patents of the day thread below this one and Tom said it updates in play. So I think that means no it doesnt do it pre match for potential lineup change scenarios like you outline.
@Tombrownlee With the qatar Haiti and mexico bets there is a high likelihood these teams will field a weakened starting 11. Possibly a lot of rotations because they are out or have won the group. Do you take that into account. Mexico have decent back up players but Qatar and Haiti I doubt.
@Tombrownlee my question is I thought we had to beat betfair closing line long term to be profitable. Many prices you recommend dont do that. So do you think its untrue that we need to beat Betfair closing line to be profitable or are you in fact beating it on a big number of bets thanks
@betangel Also at the general election a parties manifesto should be a legally binding contract between the party and the people so that they cant just blatantly lie in an attempt to win votes.
@Football_434@SantiSignals Only if the sample size is very big. Think of it like a bet if you place 10 bets at odds of 10.0 or 1 bet at odds of 1.01 which of those 2 scenarios is most likely to lead to 1 bet winning.
@SantiSignals I am English and here the media seem far more worried about the prospect of england playing mexico in mexico than facing any of the top teams. Many are even suggesting England should try to finish second in the group to avoid this. Mexico did look poor at times vs korea though.
@SantiSignals Will be interesting if england meets Mexico in last 16. I I expect that would likely have a high WBGT score. Also the altitude mexicos opponents in knockouts will have just 5 or 6 days to acclimatise to altitude where as South Africa, korea and Czech were already acclimatised.
