The problem is the people in media whose job it is to talk about Democrats get all of their perceptions about Democrats from online spaces and elite outlets—a very warped reality.

It then feeds into how the party is perceived as too liberal as well as a vicious cycle of pundits saying Democrats should move right when the actual Democrats aren’t doing or saying most of the stuff the punditry accuses them of doing or saying.
