On my way from my doctoral seminar today, I had a deep reflection of my time as a Resident Expert at the Keystone Academy, Beijing China 🇨🇳 and the outcomes of the just concluded Summit of the Future. I recalled how teachers and students were deeply focused on exploring innovative pedagogies.
While in Beijing, I carefully observed the Academy’s emphasis on student-centered learning. To me, it was fascinating to speak on how we can embrace Global Citizenship Education and promote active citizenship and leadership among young leaders.
As we look forward to running with the Pact adopted by World leaders, I am very optimistic about a future where sub-national governments will invest strategically in the social and economic development of children and young people so that they can reach their full potential.
Later today, I will be discussing libel on social media with @SuleJacobs and @thefunkeadeoye, the amazon. This conversation is highly recommended for journalists, citizen reporters, activists and media entrepreneurs.
We are turning our focus to discussing ‘Social Media & Online Defamation’ on Saturday with @thefunkeadeoye and @mrfestusogun at 5 pm Nigerian time. Also, looking forward to hearing about @hopebehindbar interventions & @FOLegal dispute resolution efforts.
