The workshop engaged students in small active groups to think critically about the targets of #SDGs &how to ensure that as students they can own the @GlobalGoalsUN & create awareness locally...
Two policy shifts are set to reshape Nigeria’s higher education landscape. The enforcement of a 16-year minimum age for university admission and a downward review of JAMB cut-off marks. While one promotes early academic access, the other raises concerns about declining standards. Balance is essential.
I invite you to read my thoughts on the prolonged shutdown of public primary schools in Nigeria’s Capital Territory and what it means for the future of education.
“As infrastructure projects soar in Abuja, a prolonged teacher strike has left thousands of children locked out of public primary schools and out of their futures”.

@SuleJacobs added that: “Although Dr. Alausa may be a competent professional in the medical field, the challenges facing the education sector in Nigeria demand someone with a deep understanding of educational policies, administration, and reform”.

On my way from my doctoral seminar today, I had a deep reflection of my time as a Resident Expert at the Keystone Academy, Beijing China 🇨🇳 and the outcomes of the just concluded Summit of the Future. I recalled how teachers and students were deeply focused on exploring innovative pedagogies.
While in Beijing, I carefully observed the Academy’s emphasis on student-centered learning. To me, it was fascinating to speak on how we can embrace Global Citizenship Education and promote active citizenship and leadership among young leaders.
As we look forward to running with the Pact adopted by World leaders, I am very optimistic about a future where sub-national governments will invest strategically in the social and economic development of children and young people so that they can reach their full potential.
I am looking for 2 additional guests, preferably a female lawyer and someone from the civil society space to host on @hrightscafe to talk about defamation & cyber bullying. Please kindly recommend.
Thanks in advance!

We do not need new pledges from our leaders. The #AfricaClimateWeek and #AfricaClimateSummit should showcase climate adaptation strategies and home-grown innovations and for African leaders to complain and express frustrations.
Thanks to @ClimateCrisisAG for amplifying this!👌🏽
Interestingly, I just realized I haven't had any gap year from school/studying since 2009-2023. I have been doing one thing or the other. It's time to take a break & focus on @iReadInitiative x @hrightscafe
donating educational materials to students and teachers, and, more recently, embarking on projects with partners to renovate healthcare facilities and school libraries for the good of mankind have been truly amazing. Let’s do more together!
