A couple of thoughts on the RFK selection:
1) A lot of people criticized him for running third party, but sometimes this is what needs to be done to elevate your issues. We would not be at this momentous point had he not played hard ball and forced Trump to adopt his movement.

We need to consider this in the future when we get caught with liberal Republican nominees in various states for certain offices. Sometimes an independent run is worthwhile, and if the Republicans is truly concerned about splitting the vote, it's their job to come to you and cut a deal. That's what Trump did and it worked out for everyone.
2) Even if Senate Republicans down his nomination, he will have a prime audience to elevate some of the problems with the health care system.
3) If he is ultimately confirmed, although there won't be the votes to enact a lot of the reforms in Congress, much of the problem with the health care cartel is administrative and also an information warfare. That can be turned around overnight.
4) Hopefully, RFK has learned that the chronic illness and bad outcomes of our system are not a bug but a feature of socialized medicine and government intervention. In order to change health care outcomes, we need to change the way we PAY for healthcare.

This is an exciting time and satisfying revenge for those of us who were dead right about everything with covid from day one but persecuted by the system.
