@Michael60301176 It Does! For both teachers and students. Due to COVID my son had a class size of 12 and we saw extremely positive results, and a 2nd Grade teacher I know also had a downsized class of 15 (usually 30) and she couldn't believe the difference. #20ed215
To make a difference, even for one student, is what truly mattes. To every teacher out there, that lives this every day, Thank you! #20ed215 https://t.co/2Xm07WJR9q
Well I’ve been an emotional wreck! To have parents come up to you at the end of the day and tell you the positive impact you’ve had on their child is an overwhelming feeling. This job is like nothing else. #PGCE#ImATeacher
Teachers, above and beyond the classroom, not for the glory, but for the heart. These are the teachers I look up to and hope to be like one day! https://t.co/5OJu0VAAyn #20ed215
One of my sweet students ripped her sister's sweater and was so stressed out. I spoke with sister and smoothed things over by promising to do my best to mend it. Let's give it a go! #imateacher#idontjustteachmath#ilovethem@NISDKnowlton
@CieloEchanove I hope this has brought to light how hard teachers work and how deserving they are of more support. Talk about adapting to change with zero time or training! I've been beyond impressed with my son's teachers, and the teachers in my life. #20ed215
https://t.co/Db98Z3YgZo #20ed215 A new era of teaching methodologies! Gamification, moot courts, simulation, concept maps, interactive whiteboards, robotic cameras, and other smart tools. The classroom of 2020 is changing. What methods will you employ?
The demand for a rigorous and quality public education service inspires a continuous commitment to innovative pedagogical practices.
On NOVA Quality Day, teachers from several NOVA schools had the opportunity to present examples that contribute to the improvement of teaching.
@TorchiaGillian I would say absolutely yes. I think naturally as children grow they gain more responsibility. They get to make more of their own choices and reap the benefits and consequences. I think this is an important part of learning to be an adult. #20ed215
@Jennife08203253 I agree with you so much! It starts with the teacher setting a precedent about what is acceptable and what is not. It is equally important for us to model, and teach, respect and kindness #20ed215
@Michael60301176 I hope that a positive outcome of our current situation can be the general public appreciating teachers more. I think many parents realized teaching their kids was much harder than they'd assumed! #20ed215
https://t.co/X82EueJJ8J #20ed215 What are your thoughts on the Why of these stats? I've never attended a charter school. How different are they from public schools?
Study by Lisa P. Spees finds "#CharterSchool only students are the least likely to be tardy, to commit disciplinary infractions, or to be suspended compared to switchers or traditional #PublicSchool only students."

https://t.co/aA865L5GzE #20ed215 It is so important to provide each student with the resources that he/she needs! Every student deserves the right to a quality education and in this time that requires everyone to step up and help out.
Thanks to the leadership of @GovAbbott, thousands of students with disabilities in Texas will get needed supplementary services to keep learning going during these uncharted times. More on the innovative #CARESAct funded initiative ⬇️

@CieloEchanove#20ed215 I was thinking about this the other day. The push to have PhD and genius Elementary teachers, but just because someone is a genius doesn't mean they can translate it to their students. You have to understand children, honestly Care about them and Want to see them grow.
@Michael60301176 I also whole heartedly agree with this post. I have to remind myself after long exhausting days to be fully Present and spend time with my son. No multitasking, no phone, just honestly giving him my full attention. I know it makes a huge difference, especially to children.
@ProfMcCole https://t.co/DgZPuKVsXC In uncharted territory of teaching students virtually, teachers, administration, and parents are running into ethical dilemmas on how to handle new arising situations.
@ProfMcCole With COVID19 still prevalent and no vaccination available, the issue of safely having kids and teachers in school has become an important discussion that will continue to be an issue throught this year. https://t.co/yYmfzd0r5N
We all want students back in the classroom, but President Trump hasn't done the work to make sure schools can reopen safely and effectively.
@KamalaHarris and I will be ready on day 1 with a roadmap for reopening. https://t.co/yJswM3PliF
@ProfMcCole https://t.co/CZH1JcrtDf I think this tweet reflects something that is top of mind for everyone right now. Morally speaking, as a whole our society is in turmoil and needs a positive change. Educators are a paramount for helping make this change.
"Today, like too many other days, the trauma black, brown & multiracial families and children are experiencing is a national crisis that requires action. As an organization, NAEYC sees your pain, and stands with you in grief." https://t.co/bmx3bsu9B8 @stillwater1953 @RhianNAEYC
