“I can tell you the day a court holds that the SBC itself can be held liable for the abuse that occurs within a church or within one of the SBC ministries, that will be a huge opportunity for survivors to step forward and begin holding the SBC financially accountable and maybe that will cause them to make some changes." https://t.co/1xPENIolri
Proud of our minor client who chose to take action after abuse at a church camp. This week, his case resolved, and his agency was reclaimed. The legal process can be an integral part of a survivor’s healing journey. https://t.co/pcW5VozonY
The crimes perpetrated by Michael Tait and other Newsboys associates expose a pattern of abuse that demands answers. How many victims are still suffering in silence? How many enablers turned a blind eye to protect their cash cow? This isn’t just about one predator—it’s about an entire network that allowed sexual assault to flourish.
These survivors deserve justice, and everyone who participated in or covered up these crimes must be exposed and held accountable. https://t.co/lYw37oWPW4
It takes a pretty stiff neck to wear that millstone around the neck as though it were a cross necklace.
Anyone looking straight at it can see the difference.
My team has set a goal of $40K and personally I’m raising $2,400. Would you consider donating $25-$500 to help us protect more children? Every gift makes a difference. Thank you!

Hello Twitter Friends! As you may (or may not) know, for the last three months I have been in an intensive leadership training program based around experiential learning and developing emotional intelligence.
Maddie’s Message—a nonprofit started after my friend Carri’s 2-year-old daughter Maddie tragically died from pulling a dresser over on herself. Her family turned their grief into action, providing free safety kits to prevent other families from suffering the same loss.
“God is like Jesus. God has always been like Jesus. There’s never been a time when God was not like Jesus. We haven’t always known this, but now we do.”
Happy Easter!!!
Per initial reports: Naama, Liri, Daniella and Karina were held captive together with Agam Berger in Gaza. Hamas cruelly separated the four girls from Agam Berger just a couple days before today’s release.
Pray for Agam, who is now all alone in the hands of those monsters.
The misogynistic idea that men are so special that they experience greater pain from being cheated on than women—who are universally expected to endure infidelity—fuels the justification of all kinds of crimes against women, and reinforces a culture of violence and control.
“Offending leaders are often quick to try and change the narrative from one of abuse to something less offensive and more acceptable to the watching public. One way this is accomplished is to re-defining the abuse with terms such as “mistake,” “misjudgment,” “failure,” or “misunderstanding”. Such a redefining is usually coupled with the offending leader publicly expressing sorrow and asking for forgiveness.” https://t.co/BXH3dFhNyY
A significant issue within the Church regarding abuse is that its theology often suggests that all sins are equal, which can lead to minimizing abuse and offering "cheap grace" to perpetrators.
An “independent investigator” who has previously represented churches or Christian organizations in sexual abuse claims is not “independent” and cannot be trusted.
Your abuse experience has immeasurable importance and value…please only share it with those who have earned your trust.
