ResEdit separates an image’s identity from the user-controllable editing signal, enabling precise edits to geometry, material, and lighting while preserving the source image. 1/4

ResEdit learns a residual image embedding that captures identity information missing from the editable condition.

A gradient-reversal objective prevents the residual from encoding that condition, helping disentangle identity from the user-controlled signal. 3/4
